This 4-day course has been designed to give those who are considering a career in Domestic Electrical Installation the basic thoery knowledge and practical skills required to progress towards becoming a fully qualified electrical installer.

As a foundation course the content is aimed more at the practical side of installation, including identifying materials, cables, switches, etc their uses and correct manner of installation along with the layout and workings of a typical domestic Consumer Unit, circuits and wired accessories. There is a strong emphasis on the "hands on" side of installation and candidates will build their own small domestic installtion.

Safety and good work practice are important areas of Electrical Installation and candidates will learn to identify poor workmanship both physically and visually to either rectify or renew.

The outcome from this course will be that the candidate will have a proper knowledge of how to practically carryout a Domestic Installation and the skills needed to do this work. As a foundation course this is the first step towards becoming a fully qualified Domestic or Maintenance Electrician. MGS Electrical Training offer the City & Guilds qualifications needed to progress to becoming a Part P approved Domestic Installer.

City & Guilds 2382-10 IEE 17th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification (3-Day Course).

Part P Training which includes the City & Guilds 2392-10 Fundamental Inspection, Testing & Initial Verification & City & Guilds 2393-10 Building Regulations for Installations in Dwellings (5 Day Course)
