This qualification has been developed in association with the electrical installation industry, and will satisfy the underpinning knowledge requirements for those involved in the initial verification This 3 day course has been developed in conjunction with the electrical industry to provide less experienced candidates with an introduction of how to inspect and test (conduct the initial verification) of electrical installations before progressing onto the 2391-10 Level 3 Certificate in Inspection, Testing and Certification of Electrical Installations or in preperation for enrolment on to a Part P Scheme. This particular Electrical course is also suitable for practicing electricians who have not carried out inspection and testing since qualifying or who require some updated training before going onto achieve the City & Guilds 2391-10 Testing, Inspection & Verification qualification. Testing and Inspection is often a difficult subject for even the most experienced of electricians. This 2392-10 Fundermental Inspection, Testing & Initial Verification qualification not only helps you to fully understand testing, it also provides you with a qualification and certificate to show you are competent to undertake the work. It's a very essential skill and qualification to have for anyone undertaking electrical installations. During the course candidates learn how to carry out inspection and testing using various training rigs simulating real electrical installations, and are then given the opportunity to perform the inspection, testing and verification on an individual basis. There are no formal entry requirements for candidates undertaking this Electrical qualification. However, we expect that candidates have an understanding of electrical principles and have the 17th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification (BS:7671). It would also be expected that candidates have experience of electrical installation work either within the electrical contracting industry or an allied trade. The acheive this qualification candidates will complete a 1hr 30min multiple choice online test covering the underpinning knowledge relating to the fundamental inspection, testing and initial verification of electrical installations, as required by BS 7671:2008 and a 2hr practical assessment covering the range of inspections, tests, verification and recording of information and results for a new electrical installation, as required by BS 7671:2008 Progression to City & Guilds 2391-10: - The City & Guilds 2391-10 is amongst the most difficult of any electrical exams that you may undertake, but with the introduction of this qualification it is expected that candidates who have achieved the 2392-10 will have on average, a greater chance of success in achieving the 2391.Ref: 2392-10L |
