Cambridge based course intended to ensure compliance with the content and applications of the requirements for Electrical Installations BS: 7671:2008 17th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations.
City & Guilds 2382-10 UPDATE 17th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations The IEE Wiring Regulations are referred to in the Electricity at Work Regulations as a means of achieving compliance with BS 7671: 2008, with the IEE Wiring Regulations which is used as a standard against which all electrical installations must comply. The City and Guilds 2382-20 course is designed for electricians and installers who have to comply with BS 7671: 2008 This is a 1 Day course and includes a 1 hour multiple choice exam(GOLA) carried out on computer. In order for candidates to enter this qualification it is required that one of the following qualifications, which address the requirements of the 16th Edition June 2001 BS 7671, must have been achieved: - City & Guilds Level 3 Certificate in the Requirements for Electrical Installations (BS 7671: June 2001) (2381), or
- City & Guilds Level 3 Certificate in Electrotechnical Technology Installation (Building and Structures), or
- City & Guilds Level 3 Certificate in Electrotechnical Technology Electrical Maintenance (2330-08), or
- City & Guilds Level 3 Certificate in Electrical Installations Part Two (2360) (from 1 January 2004 onwards only).
Those attending this course must provide a copy their certificate showing one of the above qualifications and provide photographic ID as proof of identity. City & Guilds 2382 is a REQUIRED QUALIFICATION for all electricians and installers whose work falls within the scope of PART P as defined by the Department for Communities and Local Government (DCLG). For anyone involved in installing and testing of domestic, industrial and commercial electrical installations, City & Guilds 2382 is a requirement under the Electricity at Work Regulations 1989 and of Part P schemes. This states that "all electricians who are involved in the installation of industrial and commercial installations be deemed as competent and hold this qualification". |
