City & Guilds 2382-10 17th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations The IEE Wiring Regulations are referred to in the Electricity at Work Regulations as a means of achieving compliance with BS 7671: 2008, with the IEE Wiring Regulations which is used as a standard against which all electrical installations must comply. The City and Guilds 2382-10 course is designed for electricians and installers who have to comply with BS 7671: 2008 The course spans three consecutive days and includes a 2 hour multiple choice exam(GOLA) which is carried out on computer and candidates are able to use the Wiring Regulations book as reference during the exam. City & Guilds 2382 is a REQUIRED QUALIFICATION for all electricians and installers whose work falls within the scope of PART P as defined by the Department for Communities and Local Government (DCLG). For anyone involved in installing and testing of domestic, industrial and commercial electrical installations, City & Guilds 2382 is a requirement under the Electricity at Work Regulations 1989 and of Part P schemes. This states that "all electricians whoare involved in the installation of industrial and commercial installations be deemed as competent and hold this qualification". |
